St Mary's has activities for young people ...

CRISPs (Children Regaining Important Spiritual Powers) is the group which caters for the 10-14 year old age range. We meet during the 10am communion services.

Our vision is to become our own small church within the larger church, a cell within the body of Christ. We will aim to explore what it means to be a church and look at ideas such as worship and prayer.

A typical session will start with a game or exercise to prompt thinking on the morning’s programme followed by a visual clip or symbolic act to demonstrate where we fit into the topic. We will then study a biblical passage to help gain God’s perspective before thinking and praying about how we can use and explore what we have learnt further outside church.

Our teaching for the first half of 2006 will be on community, church and Christian lifestyle. All 10-14 year olds welcome, just follow us out during the second hymn.
