Funerals

If you need to arrange a funeral you will need to contact a Funeral Director who will co-ordinate all the arrangements for you. For cremations or burials you normally have to wait at least five working days - longer if there is to be a coroner's inquest.

If you would like the Vicar to conduct the service please contact him to find out his availability before you make arrangements with the Funeral Director. If you make the arrangements and the Vicar is not available for the day and time you've decided the Funeral Director will try to arrange a locum. Helen is a Reader at St Mary's and is also licensed to take parish funerals.

If you would like the funeral service to be held in church contact the Parish Office to ascertain availability. Likewise, if you would like to use the Parish Hall for a reception afterwards contact the Parish Office.
